Tweed Heads PCYC Mini Comp - A huge Success!!

The intention of hosting a mini comp is to give players, referees, table workers and volunteer helpers the opportunity to gain more experience to provide....

The intention of hosting a mini comp is to give players, referees, table workers and volunteer helpers the opportunity to gain more experience  to provide an opportunity to learn more skills.  It was great to see players, referees table workers and volunteer helpers travel long distances from as far as Cobar and Cairns to participate and make a valuable contribution to the day. It is also good to see young male and female players taking on more responsibilities in the field of refereeing and other helping roles.   They will no doubt be better prepared as future leaders in the Australian Judo Community.   

Mini Comp - Tweed Heads PCYC - Sat 10th October 2015

A mini competition will be held at the Tweed Heads PCYC at the corner of Florence and Adelaide streets Tweed Heads on....

A mini competition will be held at the Tweed Heads PCYC at the corner of Florence and Adelaide streets Tweed Heads on Saturday 10th October 2015.

Weigh in will open at 9am and the competition is expected to commence at approximately 10am.

Competitors are requested to nominate themselves online so that bout sheets can be prepared beforehand.

Notices with complete information will be forwarded to all clubs in the weeks leading up to the event.   

2015 Annual Championships - A Great Success

The 2015 Annual AJU Championship was a great success. Judo players travelled to Toowoomba from as far as Sydney, Cobar and Cairns for a great....

The 2015 Annual AJU Championship was a great success.  Judo players travelled to Toowoomba from as far as Sydney, Cobar and Cairns  for a great day of friendly but vigorous judo competition, keeping the mat busy all day.  There were many good throws and examples of good sportsmanship. It was also pleasing to complete the tournament without an injured player which is a good reflection of the safe  judo practices and teachings of the AJU.
